ROUTINE RULES
- All dance styles may have 3 acro tricks in total with the exception of: Acrobatics, Open (8 tricks), & Production. We believe routines should stay true to style and should honor the dance genres roots. However, we encourage creativity and modernized routines to our competition stage.
- 1 mark will be deducted should any of these routines reach over the maximum limit tricks.
- If a number must re-dance, it will only be permitted if there is additional time. The second performance attempt will be adjudicated but will NOT not qualify for overall awards.
MUSIC RULES
- We please ask that NO inappropriate words, content, and subject is used in music.
- Music must be age appropriate and contain no vulgar words, inappropriate topics or subjects deemed non family friendly.
- Music is to be uploaded via Dancebug two weeks prior to the competition date.
- Music should be cut and finalized before uploading to Dancebug.
- All music should be reviewed and listened too once uploaded to ensure no errors were made.
TIME LIMITSAny routines that require longer times on stage should connect with the competition in advance (1 month minimum) to make appropriate arrangements.

COMPETITION ETIQUETTE
- Studio Directors are responsible to read and understand all terms prior to registering.
- The studio is only officially in the registration system once the deposit is received, no exceptions.
- Studio Directors are to check-in at the boutique table upon their first competition day.
- Studio Directors are to sign a waiver on the behalf of their students prior to the competition, otherwise will not be able to compete.
- If a routine must be put on hold or moved, it must be approved by the backstage manager.
- All routines should check-in backstage 5 numbers prior ready to dance.
- Props must be freestanding and checked-in with the backstage manager. Props should not take more than 60 seconds to place. Requests for production props or large props should be discussed with the Destiny directors to schedule accordingly.
- Studio scores will be emailed to the studio directors + uploaded to Dancebug after the competition.
- Cash Awards are handed directly with the studio director after the competition.
- No studio director, parent, dancer, teacher etc.. is to approach judges during the competition. In doing so, the studio will be disqualified. We pride ourselves on fair & professional judging practices.
- Guests including but not limited to dance parents, grand-parents, or guests of any sort are not permitted to approach Destiny staff or directors with rude and disrespectful comments about the competition. All complaints regarding the event, will only be heard on behalf of studio directors. We reserve the right ask guests demonstrating inappropriate behaviour to be escorted out of the building.
- There is a time and place for certain conversations. As such, we will only be entertaining respectful conversations and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for our dance competitors.
- Dancers come first, it's all about their experience and creating a wonderful experience. Let's make it a great weekend of dance.
